The Nevada Cotton Broadcloth is a fabulously simple fabric that is delightfully easy to wash, sew & wear! An over all soft fabric with a matte, “washed” look & handle. It has a risen weave with a lightly slubbed & woven texture, that mimics linen. Light colours are very slightly sheer, darker colours are opaque. Does not need to be lined, but could be, to achieve ‘perfect opacity.’ Very lightly structured with a little drape, perfect for light volume.
Suggested Projects: Shirts, simple or complex woven tops, very light shorts. Tunic & shift dresses, wraps, maxis, circle skirts. Great for seam and sewn details, works really well for voluminous and close fitting styles. Also makes a great interlining for sheer or light fabrics.
Nevada is SUPER great for wearable toiles. If you want to try out a pattern this is the perfect fabric: it’s inexpensive and easy to sew, but is still gorgeous to look at and to wear. 🙂
