The Westcliff is an elegant, ‘mock-wrap’ knit dress that is easy to dress up and down! It features neat, short sleeves, a tie belt, a flattering wrap neckline that won’t gape, and an optional lower, gathered tier for the maxi version.

Supplies

Fabric (see below), matching thread, stretch machine needle, safety pin.

Optional: clear elastic for stabilising shoulder and yoke seams

Fabric Suggestions

Knits with at least 25% stretch, jerseys are ideal but a more structured knit could be used. If you choose a knit with more body, like a ponte, it will have a more structured modern look. If you sew it in a drapier knit, like a rayon jersey, it will have a more romantic look.
