Plastic elastic is used mostly in knit garments. It can be used to stabilize seams, for example, shoulder seams that might stretch out over time.And can also be used to gather and add firm stretch to a garment, for example in waist seams or sleeve hems.
Can be attached to a garment using overlocking or zig zag stitch.
