DP Studio Pattern – Le 404 Straight Skirt with Frilled Trims

This 4-panel skirt is accessorised by two types of braid that make it really romantic looking. To complete this ‘girly’ look, the hem is scalloped. Its 3cm classic belt makes the skirt sit snuggly on the waist.
Two versions are proposed in the pattern: with or without lining. In the lined version, the facing is proposed to reinforce the scalloped hem. The latter is attached to the lining, which is fixed to the skirt at the waistband. In the unlined version, edging is proposed for finishing the scalloped hem. Several fabric types are possible for this skirt but avoid anything too thick that will make the skirt look heavy.
Supplies
Fabric (see below), matching thread, interfacing, 20cm invisible zip, 2 x metallic hooks for the belt, fancy braid, 45cm lining, 130cm bias tape or edging for the hem of the skirt if not lined.
