The Hughes is an elegant and versatile dress with lots of options! It features a button-up front, nipped waistline with back lacing and princess seams that extend into the skirt.
It has gathered short sleeves and the option for a peplum top, knee-length dress or 3/4 length dress. The patch pockets and back tie detail are also optional.

Supplies
Fabric (see below), matching thread, 0.9m lightweight fusible interfacing, 11 x 13-25mm [1/2″-1″] buttons, marking tool, small safety pin or tube turning tool, ruler.
Fabric suggestions
Linen, light-to-midweight cotton, very light suitings, drill. Drapey fabrics will give a more dressy look. Twill, challis, crepe, rayon & viscose blends.
