Sanda Jacket | Merchant & Mills

An oversized coat or jacket with a rolled collar and turn back cuffs. Coat has inseam pockets and jacket has patch pockets. Choose to make either lined or unlined.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.

Skill level; intermediate.

Supplies

Matching thread, 0.25M x 0.5CM wide seam tape.

Jacket: 4 x 2CM buttons, OR 0.2M patch pocket lining (unlined jacket).

Coat: 6 x 2CM buttons, 0.35M   bag lining (unlined coat).

Fabric suggestions

Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 7-12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twill or canvas. A heavier weight cloth with result in a more structured coat.

For linings, we suggest barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise – cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.
